Areas of Specialty

I support women in their 20s and 30s as they emerge into adulthood, navigate relationships, and enter early motherhood.

When you’re anxious, your mind, your body, and your relationships end up paying a price. I can help you find relief so you can re-channel that anxious energy into positive thoughts and action that helps you make healthy, productive changes in your life.

First, we need to remember that anxiety is the mind’s way of protecting you during times of stress. Your mind is asking you to pay attention and find better ways of taking care of yourself. Together, we’ll determine what your anxiety is telling you. Then, we tend to the roots of your issues in order to create a life that’s free of chronic worry and full of enduring joy.

T stands for Trauma

You may think of trauma as something that happens to people who have suffered terrible accidents or witnessed a crime or served in war, but trauma can be part of everyday life. Any unexpected experience that shakes the body and mind can be traumatic. If you’ve ever experienced a betrayal of trust, confusion, abuse of power, a sense of loss, or felt trapped, you've been through a traumatic event.

You may come to me because you know you’re dealing with the lingering effects of trauma. It’s also possible that, through our work together, you will discover that smaller traumatic incidents have played a role in the development of your identity and continue to influence you today. With compassion and understanding, I’ll help you release the pain and weight of the past so you can walk through life free of old burdens. Read more here

Identity Development

Your identity is your sense of self. It’s the way you see who you and what you want from life. When you have a strong sense of self, you feel confident, capable, and prepared for whatever comes your way.

All too often, however, women - especially as they emerge into adulthood - feel confused about who they are and what they want. You may notice this appear in your life as chronic perfectionism, self-doubt, and a feeling that you’re never enough. I can help you tune into your own feelings and inner wisdom so you can begin to create a life that’s in harmony with who you really are.

Attachment and relationships

Early childhood experiences and bonding with primary caregivers have profound, lifelong impacts on how we feel about ourselves and how we interact with others in the world.

If you’re stuck in relationships that aren't working for you, where you are feeling needy, overwhelmed, ignored, distant, or just keep hitting against the same wall, let's talk. You may be repeating the painful patterns you learned during childhood. These patterns can keep you from developing fulfilling relationships that make you feel safe and loved. Together, we can discover the "why" of your patterns, and help you learn better ways of relating to others. The goal is to enable you to feel better about yourself as you deepen into the relationships that make you feel more connected and confident.
